Tips on self care during the silly season

5 things I'll be doing...

As we enter into (what people call) the silly season, pause and remember to look after YOU.

This can be a difficult time for lots of families. The pressure, the expenses, the work load, honestly... the list just goes on.

We see you, we hear you.

We wanted to put together a few key things to get you through. Firstly, think positive! Practicing positive affirmations really does make a difference. I have these really cool cards that the kids pull out and we take turns reading, teaching our next generation and actually absorbing healthy thoughts too. Plenty to be thankful for!

The biggest number ONE.... Is actually sleep.

Too many of you beautiful ladies don't get the sleep your body and mind needs. So make this a priority.. for YOU and your loved ones.

  • Deep slow breathing before bed can help this.

  • LED Face light has been proven to help sleep (add to Christmas list)

  • Daily exercise

  • Minimal screen time has also been well proven to help sleep.

  • Vida Glow have just released a brand NEW product with fantastic stats to improve Sleep. lets see some more info on that.. I'll attach a easy link to check it out, its only just arrived in clinic and we are super excited about it, as every other product we've used within Vida Glow has truly worked.

If you'd like more information on men and women's health, hormone balance & better sleep habits, I highly recommend Simon Gaults '4 Wheels of Health' course. I learnt a lot, it's not just for weight loss, it's for good health habits and huge benefits for hormone balancing.

Make time for you. Even on a busy week, take time for a bush walk, Pilates session, Yoga, get a spray tan, book your facial! Even treatments in clinic no matter how small it is, are so healthy for you.

Breathe. Like, really breathe. Concentrate on listening to your body.

Take a swim in the ocean. Cold, but therapeutic... just something about it

Wear your SPF - Reapply - Use antioxidant serum like VitC - Book your Dermapen in.

Book in to see the Dental hygienist. Unhealthy teeth can have an effect on all round health. This will make a big difference & leave you feeling sparkly inside and out.

Seriously though book a spray tan too ... you under estimate how good it feels (Our girl Toni does spray tans she's fantastic, and we love Carly at the Tan Box too)

Lastly ... GIVE.

Give your time, to your Neighbour or friend or family member, food to food banks doing wonderful things for families in need (your local church will most likely have something in place), support local businesses, these are good local families that you are keeping alive.

Smile at the person you walk past in the street, give the lady next to you in line a lovely comment. Its the small things we do that make the biggest difference.

Say kind things.  Be kind to yourself. Be happy, remember the reason for this season x
