We are very excited to announce our upgrade to the newest Dermapen4 (micro-needling device) at Harleh Laser Clinic. This latest revolutionary technology offers amazing results for those concerned with scarring, stretch marks, acne, enlarged pores, pigmentation disorders including sun damage, acral vitiligo and melasma, ageing skin, and overall rejuvenation.
The Dermapen4 allows for a personalised treatment with adjustable needle depth penetration of up to 3mm. Dermapen4 uses 16 microneedles with 4-speed options, allowing the needles to oscillate at a speed of up to 120 revolutions per second.
Whilst the facial region is often the primary concern for our clients, the Dermapen4 has the ability to treat all areas of the body (stretch marks, scars etc).
Delicate regions should not be forgotten, as treatment of these zones can offer the greatest benefits and results. This advanced technology allows us to treat the earlobes, neck, décolletage, lips, back of hands and eyes (including the eyelids in order to achieve peri-orbital rejuvenation). What is skin needling ?
Also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) or Micro-Needling, skin needling is a non-invasive treatment using microscopic needles and device oscillation to penetrate the skin.
Mild penetration of the epidermis and dermis causes microdamage, resulting in the body responding to this damage with regrowth and repair through our natural wound healing process. This response, in turn, will help stimulate the production of collagen, elastin and new growth factors to improve various skin functions. Through creating these microchannels our skin is then able to absorb 80% more topical nutrients, allowing for greater product absorption.
Essentially micro-needling works to ‘rewrite your skin history’ by healing skin trauma, retexturizing and creating overall skin renewal.
Micro-needling has proven to be a successful treatment for many dermal concerns, working wonders on your overall skin health. The fact that the treatment also comes with very minimal downtime and side-effects is another great advantage of skin needling. Although a mild sunburn sensation and erythema may be present for the first 24-48 hours after your treatment, daily activities can generally be continued the same or following day.
We do, however, ask our clients to avoid strenuous exercise, direct sun exposure or any activities that may cause excessive heat or perspiration following their Dermapen treatment. Mineral makeup can be applied the day of your treatment to camouflage any redness.

Is the treatment painful?
Unlike traditional dermal rolling techniques, the Dermapen 4 is the most comfortable micro-needling treatment available, thanks to advanced technology and design. There is no need for any topical anaesthetic cream (TLA), just lie back and enjoy the stunning results.
How should I prepare my skin for treatment?
At Harleh Laser Clinic, we offer an initial consultation before your Dermapen 4 treatment. For optimal results, we’ll recommend an appropriate home care regime that encourages your skin to prepare and strengthen.
How many treatments are recommended for rejuvenation, acne scarring and stretch marks?
Rejuvenation*: 3-6 treatments 6-8 weeks apart
Acne scarring: 4-6 treatments 6-8 weeks apart
Stretch marks: 4-8 treatments 6-8 weeks apart
Pigmentation: 4-6 treatments 2-4 weeks apart
*Superficial treatments may be recommended at four-weekly intervals.
How soon after filler/muscle relaxant injections can I have a treatment?
While there is no clinical evidence that Dermapen 4 treatments counteract with any particular injectables, it is essential to let us know if you have had an injectable treatment or are planning one shortly. With this information, we can let you know when to schedule your treatment appropriately.
How long should it take before I see results?
Typically, you will see results after the first treatment. Lasting and more significant results will become visible after 3 to 6 treatments (spaced 2-8 weeks apart). The condition of your skin will continue to improve over the next 6-12 months after a course of treatments, especially when combined with our recommended post-treatment care.
Is there any downtime?
You may experience facial redness for 12-48 hours after the treatment. Most people can return to normal daily activities immediately after the treatment. Our therapists will provide you with post-treatment information and products.
