Yes, it’s hot. We’re all feeling it. Cool off with your favourite tea cold brewed. Sounds simple right? It is, but there are some important steps to follow for this refreshing drink. First, let’s start with some of the great reasons to cold brew your tea.
1. SMOOTH TASTE

Cold water produces a different quality of tea. Compared to a hot brew, you’ll be drinking less caffeine and fewer catechins, meaning a smooth, less bitter tea.
2. NEW FLAVOURS

Re-discovering your favourite teas as cold brews will delight your taste buds. Get creative with summery snacks to match the flavour profiles.
3. THIRST QUENCHING

It may seem obvious, but in this heat wave were having, a cold brewed tea is a delicious way to cool down on these hot days.
So how do you cold brew your tea? Here is how we suggest:
BREWING VESSEL

We usually use a large glass jar or a pot with a lid.
FILTERED WATER

Fill your jar or pot with two litres of cold filtered water.
ORGANIC TEA

Add four to five tablespoons of Storm & India tea leaves.
COLD BREW

Cover your brewing vessel with a lid, refrigerate overnight and then strain the tea.
CUSTOMISE

Pour over ice and build your cold brew taste profile with seasonal fruit and fresh herbs.
